Following complaints, Phuket officials swoop on stray canine

Following a quantity of complaints from fed up locals, Phuket officials on Wednesday swooped on stray dogs within the island province’s major metropolis district.
No sweat had complained that a pack of canine had been causing a nuisance. They stated the canine were chasing after motorcycles, in addition to defecating on streets and people’s properties.
The Department of Public Health and Environment’s veterinary team, and officials from Phuket Municipality, caught two strays in the Taling Chan community. The remainder of the canine, however, managed to run away.
The officials brought the 2 captured dogs to the Phuket Stray Dog Shelter (Suang Pa Bang Kanun). There, they were checked for diseases before being vaccinated and sterilised. It was confirmed that the canines would stay in the shelter’s care. The municipality reported that it’s making efforts to deal with Phuket’s stray canine, utilizing methods corresponding to vaccination and sterilisation. However, the issue with individuals abandoning undesirable canines on the streets persists.
The issue of individuals allowing their dogs to roam around on the streets makes the issue even worse, the municipality added.
The group confirmed that it would return to the world to find the dogs who evaded seize.
Meanwhile, Kathu Municipality in collaboration with the Livestock Foundation and the Soi Dog Foundation introduced it’s going to launch a rabies vaccination drive for dogs. The campaigns will run from 9am to 4pm each day, in accordance with The Phuket News. The dates and locations are as follows:
